Research lasted for 38 days
Research continued for 38 days in the Amazon Rainforest of Peru. Trond Larsen, who led this research, said that the search will continue in 1.9 million acres of forest and agricultural areas in which different types of ecosystems exist. This may lead to discovery of more new species of animals.
What kind of animals were discovered?
The 27 species of animals found during exploration in the Amazon Rainforest in Peru include a different kind of rat, a short-tailed bat that eats fruit, a dwarf squirrel that is only 5.5 inches long, a blob-headed fish whose head looks like a lump. It is large and round and has what appears to be a nose, like the animals found in it.
