8 year old student dies after falling from school roof, mourning in the village

Sitamarhi News: A tragic incident took place in a school in Sitamarhi district on Tuesday, in which a Class 3 student lost his life after the roof eaves broke. This incident happened in Adarsh MVI Boys School, where a student named Naitik Kumar (8) lost his life. Naitik Kumar was the son of Shambhu Pandit, resident of Ward 4 of Choraut North Panchayat.

Student seriously injured as roof eaves break

According to the information, Naitik Kumar had gone to the roof of the school during lunch time on Tuesday. He was looking outside holding the balcony’s rim when suddenly the balcony’s rim broke and he fell down and got badly injured. As soon as he got injured, other students of the school picked up Naitik and immediately took him to the PHC (Primary Health Centre). The doctors there referred him to Sadar Hospital after first aid.

Student dies while going to hospital

The student died in the ambulance while going to Sadar Hospital. This news created an uproar in the village. The family members were in bad condition due to crying. Naitik Kumar was the younger of two brothers, and his death plunged his family into deep grief. When the body returned to the village, a large number of people gathered for the last darshan.

Police started investigating this incident

As soon as information about the incident was received, school teacher Shailendra Kumar Singh, local public representative and BDO Anit Kumar, police station incharge Sukhwinder Nain reached PHC. After this the officials visited the incident site and started investigation. For now, this incident highlights the shortcomings of the school’s infrastructure, which calls for improvements to prevent such accidents in the future.
