IND vs AUS: The Indian team has reached Melbourne for the fourth test. Team India is continuously sweating in the nets for practice. The bowlers including captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli are also busy in their preparations. But yesterday in a similar session, Rohit Sharma was hit by a ball in his knee. Rohit got badly hurt by Akashdeep’s low ball. It was considered a fault of the pitch prepared for training, but a video of December 22 is going viral on social media, in which Rohit again got dodged by the ball of part-time bowler Devdutt Padikkal.
there was a problem with the pitch
During the practice session on Sunday, a ball from fast bowler Akash Deep remained down and hit the left knee of captain Rohit Sharma. However, dismissing any concerns over Rohit’s fitness, Akashdeep said while speaking to Cricket Australia that when we play cricket, such injuries are normal. They feel that this wicket was for white ball and the low bounce on the pitch must have been made keeping that in mind. Media reports revealed that India were practicing on wickets that were used for the Big Bash and were slightly worn due to constant use. However, the pitch on which the Australian team was practicing looked a bit new.
The curator gave clarification
However, on Monday morning, MCG chief curator Matt Page clarified that fresh pitches are introduced only three days before the start of the match. The Indian team did not participate in the practice session on Monday. Whenever they practice in the nets next time, they will also be given fresh pitches. Let us tell you that the fourth test between India and Australia will be played in Melbourne. For this Test, which starts on Boxing Day on 26 December, India has made one change in place of Ashwin. India has included Tanush Kotian in the team. Now it remains to be seen whether he will get a chance in the fourth test.
