CM Nitish: Sports are being continuously promoted in Bihar. The government is making many types of arrangements for the players. CM Nitish Kumar has taken a big initiative in the state to change the condition of sports and to provide facilities to rural level players. On Thursday, the construction work of sports grounds was started in 5671 panchayats of all 534 blocks of the state. A total of 6659 sports grounds will be built in Bihar. With this scheme of the state government, players up to the Panchayat level will now be able to get better grounds to play.
638 crores will be spent on the construction of 6659 sports grounds
Let us tell you that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the virtual event from Sankalp Bhawan located at 1 Anne Marg. 638 crores will be spent on the construction of 6659 sports grounds. Land will be made available in all the panchayats of the state. On the same basis, three types of playgrounds will be built in rural areas.
The playground will be built in three sizes
- Let us tell you that the area of a big size sports ground will be up to 4 acres. This playground will provide facilities for games like cricket, football, basketball, running, badminton, long jump, high jump, kabaddi, kho-kho.
- Games like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, long jump, high jump will be developed for rural youth in medium sized playground.
- Sports grounds will also be made of smaller size. Whose area will be less than 1 acre, it will include basketball, volleyball, running track and badminton.
