‘Maybe they don’t trust the spinners…’, Harbhajan Singh angry over India’s team selection

IND vs AUS: Border Gavaskar Trophy India is continuously experimenting. Different spinners were included in the playing eleven in three matches. Former Team India spinner Harbhajan Singh is angry with this. He believes that frequent changes in the team reduce the confidence of the players. They Ravichandran Ashwin And openly supported Washington Sundar and said that either of them should have been in the team.

IND vs AUS: Harbhajan called the change unacceptable

When Harbhajan Singh was asked about the continuous changes in the team, he called it ‘unacceptable’. During commentary on Star Sports, Harbhajan said, “If I answer this question, it will make headlines.” He said, “I don’t think what happened was right. Sundar played the first Test, but your main spinners were Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. You fed Sundar, but you should have stayed with him. You included Ashwin by leaving him out.”

IND vs AUS: Harbhajan wanted to see Ashwin in the team

Harbhajan further said, “Ashwin did not bowl badly at all in the second Test. I felt that Ashwin or Sundar should have been selected for the third Test, but Jadeja was selected. This has become a big question for me.” He said, “Maybe they (Team India) do not trust any spinner. One has more than 300 wickets, the other has more than 500. This team selection is not acceptable to me. I wanted to see either Ashwin or Sundar.”

IND vs AUS: Ashwin has 537 test wickets in his name

He said, “Now that Jadeja has been selected, I hope he will play the next match also, because the change will reduce the confidence of the players.” Ashwin is India’s second highest test wicket taker. With 537 wickets, he is behind the legendary Anil Kumble (619 wickets) and ahead of the great Kapil Dev (434 wickets). Jadeja is also not far behind in this list, he is at fifth position with 319 wickets.
