The last rites of former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala will be held today at 3 pm at Teja Kheda Farmhouse.

The last rites of former Haryana Chief Minister and Indian National Lok Dal chief Chaudhary Omprakash Chautala will be performed with state honors at Teja Kheda Farm House in the district on Saturday afternoon at 3 pm. Chautala has a special attachment to this place.

The mortal remains of Chautala, son of the country’s famous farmer leader late Chaudhary Devi Lal, were taken to Teja Kheda Farm House at around 10 pm. Common people will be able to have darshan till 2 pm today. He will be lit at 3 pm. Chautala breathed his last at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram yesterday at around 12 noon.

At present almost all the family members of the late leader are present in Teja Kheda Farm House. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar are also likely to attend the funeral. State mourning for three days (20,21,22 December) has been declared in Haryana. Also, the state government has declared today a public holiday. Om Prakash, born on January 1, 1935 in Chautala village of Sirsa, was the Chief Minister five times.
