IND vs AUS: There have been three test matches between India and Australia. Both the teams are tied at 1-1 in the series. But in this series, the one wicketkeeper batsman who was most watched has failed. Rishabh Pant has not been able to perform much in the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. He had performed brilliantly in the last Border Gavaskar Trophy. His innings at Gaba ground had given India a historic victory. In the latest series, the Australian bowlers had talked about special preparation keeping his performance in mind and it seems that their plan is working well. Only 96 runs have come from Rishabh’s bat in three test matches. Now Matthew Hayden and Sunil Gavaskar commented on his failed innings and said that he should not hurry.
Gavaskar hummed on Hayden’s comment
Sunil Gavaskar said that Pat Cummins and Hazlewood have created problems from one angle during Rishabh’s batting. Scott Boland will give him problems in the fourth test. But to avoid this, the most important thing is to respect the first half hour of the game. If India’s score is high then they should play their natural game, Gavaskar was referring to fast batting. Matthew Hayden, however, appeared to be a fan of Rishabh’s batting. He said that she is ‘something special’ and there is no doubt about it. He should bat hard, he has no fear in Australian conditions. But do this only when it is necessary. On Hayden’s cheesy comment, Gavaskar said that I remembered a Hindi song on his words, Tu cheez badi hai mast mast… When Hayden asked its meaning, Gavaskar said that yes, he is a different thing.
Rishabh is struggling in this series
Rishabh Pant is a strong link in the middle order of the Indian team. But Rishabh Pant has scored 37, 1, 21, 28 and 9 runs in 5 innings of three test matches in this series. Whereas in the last series, he was the highest run scorer for India by scoring 274 runs in 5 innings of four matches. This time the Australian bowlers used short pitch balls more on him, on which Rishabh is seen struggling. However, captain Rohit defended Rishabh and said that there is no pressure on him. He has played only three tests here. He has scored runs in India. He is in good form. If two or three tests are up or down then it is not right to think too much. Rishabh knows what he has to do.
Fourth Test will be played in Melbourne
Let us tell you that the fourth test match between India and Australia will be played from 26th December. Team India would like to give its full strength in this Test to be held on Boxing Day in Melbourne. After three test matches, both the teams are tied at 1-1. In such a situation, bidding farewell with a win in the last match of the year will also keep the Indian team’s hopes of reaching the final of the World Test Championship alive.
